About The Auction Group

The Auction Group is an independent UK property auctioneer. We run traditional unconditional auctions through our own online platform, with a strong base in the North West and clients across the country. We are Propertymark Protected. We reward effort and talent, and we promote from within.

The role

As an Auction Consultant you deliver a profitable auction service across your allocated areas as part of the group. You work warm leads: homeowners who have already enquired with us, rather than cold calling. Using the skills you bring and the training we give you, you turn those enquiries into auction instructions and manage them through to completed sales. This is an office-based role with a clear path to Senior Auction Consultant and team manager for those who perform.

What you will be doing

  • Following up warm enquiries from homeowners and converting them into auction instructions, with no cold calling
  • Valuing and appraising property for auction
  • Negotiating sales and managing each lot to a binding result
  • Progressing agreed sales through to completion
  • Working to the targets and KPIs set in your personal development plan
  • Meeting compliance requirements on every transaction

Training and support

You want to get going, so the support around you is there to help you do that. It works around how you operate and looks for the small adjustments that lift your results. You will have monthly personal development reviews and access to formal training as needed. There are also further qualification routes open to you as you progress, including the option to work towards a NAVA qualification.

Progression

When you are on track to reach average invoicing of £50,000 over four consecutive months, you can expect to begin the additional training you will need as a team manager. Reaching Senior Auction Consultant status usually takes six to eight months. It requires a sustained level of commitment, along with passing a promotional panel interview. Your progress is measured against the targets and KPIs set in your personal development plan.
